You can add a new object by using the context menu on the Project panel or on the Artboard.

To add an object by using the context menu

2.	In the shown context menu select the Add menu item and select the type of object that you want to add.

The object is inserted into the project tree. Also if you insert a visual object it will shown into the middle of the Artboard at a default width and size.

Note: to add a visual object you can also use the context menu on the Artboard.
